ISO 10993-10 Testing for Skin Sensitization
The ISO 10993-10 standard for skin sensitization is a key benchmark for materials used in medical and wearable device applications. Testing uses extract-based exposure to simulate real-world leachables, with repeated dosing and a final challenge phase to check for any allergic response. A “non-sensitizer” classification means the material showed no evidence of causing allergic skin reactions under test conditions.
