Achieve Very Efficient ENERGY STAR-7 Monitor Displays and Industrial Systems
Meet ENERGY STAR ® Version 7.0 Total Energy Consumption (TEC) Requirement Cost-effectively ENERGY STAR-7 for computer monitors is due to take effect in July 2016. A new reference design ( DER-504 ) describes a 25 W dual output monitor PSU easily meeting ENERGY STAR 7 requirements. DER-504 uses Power Integrations’ InnoSwitch™-EP CV/CC switcher IC and 530 V Qspeed diodes to achieve a significant reduction of P on (input power when monitor is on) and P sleep (sleep mode input power when monitor is in standby mode). As well as monitors, the PSU described in DER-504 also suits industrial and other applications, especially if they feature an LED panel display. The design delivers accurate regulation that elim...
