LYTSwitch-6 LED Driver ICs with PowiGaN Technology Deliver Industry-Leading Power Density and Efficiency Power Integrations’ LYTSwitch™-6 family of safety-isolated LED driver ICs welcomes new high-power-density members featuring PI’s proprietary PowiGaN™ technology. The new devices deliver up to 110 W output and 94% conversion efficiency in smart lighting and ballast applications. The high efficiency eliminates the need for heatsinks and reduces ballast size, weight and cooling airflow requirements. The new ICs retain existing LYTSwitch-6 benefits such as fast transient response, which facilitates excellent cross regulation for parallel LED strings without the need for additional regulator hardware, and flicker-free system operation.
