More exciting news RAA, a new Ransomware variant using only JavaScript While JavaScript ransomware is not new to the cybercrime network (see for example this article about Ransom32), the Emsisoft team recently encountered a new ransomware variant known as RAA. It exclusively uses JavaScript in order to encrypt personal files using AES. Just to add a little extra bite, this ransomware also drops Pony malware (a well-known private info-stealer).
