Next generation vehicles with Level 2+ requirements beyond NCAP need 4D enhanced radar measurement over extended range, and 360° sensing using high-resolution corner radars. Tailored to meet these requirements, the S32R41 radar processor is now available for volume deployment. It provides an optimal processing chain with SPT3.5 and BBE32 DSP accelerators and supports ISO 26262 up to ASIL-D. The high-performance processing with dual MIPI CSI2 interfaces and 9.5 MB on-board memory opens up new opportunities for differentiating radar sensors.
