RF Signal Generation
Newer wireless standards like 6G and Wi-Fi 7 and 8 are emerging due to the ever-increasing need for ubiquitous connectivity, high speed data, and data-intensive applications. As these newer standards emerge, test and measurement complexity also increases such as generating signals with higher signal integrity, wider bandwidths, higher frequency ranges, or signals utilizing complex modulations. Analog Devices offers a variety of test and measurement solutions including high speed DACs, DDS, phase-locked loops with VCOs, RF signal conditioning, and power so that customers can build high performing RF signal generators that tame system complexity and accelerate their time to market.
AD9084: Apollo MxFE™ Quad, 16-Bit, 28 GSPS RF DAC and Quad, 12-Bit, 20 GSPS RF ADC with On-Chip DSP
AD9084 is a quad, direct RF sampling converter with an integrated DAC and ADC. The 16-bit, 28 GSPS DAC offers instantaneous bandwidths as high as 8 GHz while directly sampling and synthesizing frequencies up to 18 GHz. The on-chip digital signal processing (DSP) offers a real-time FFT sniffer, a full-rate programmable FIR filter, a 128-tap complex FIR filter, fast-hopping NCOs, DDCs/DUCs, and a fractional sample rate converter.

ADF4377: Microwave Wideband Synthesizer with Integrated VCO and 12.8 GHz Output Frequency
ADF4377 is an integer-N phase-locked loop (PLL) with an integrated voltage controlled oscillator (VCO) ideally suited for data converter and mixed-signal front-end (MxFE®) clock applications. The high performance PLL has a figure of merit of −239 dBc/Hz, ultralow 1/f noise, and a high phase frequency detector (PFD) frequency that can achieve ultralow in-band noise and integrated jitter. The fundamental VCO and output divider of the ADF4377 generate frequencies from 800 MHz to 12.8 GHz. The ADF4377 integrates all necessary power supply bypass capacitors, saving board space.
