We
are excited to announce that Intel® Geti™ software (installer and
source code), Intel’s Edge offering for building AI models, is now
available on GitHub through our Open Edge Platform initiative, with a rich roadmap of new features being developed based on customer feedback.
By making the code freely available and royalty free on GitHub,
we empower our ecosystem with the tools to build, tune and deploy AI
models optimized for Intel hardware, either on-premise or within their
own cloud VM environment.
Consequently, we will retire Intel’s hosted service effective August 2025.
What This Means For You:
Intel Geti
is available now for download as royalty-free software on GitHub, with
install options for on-premises or cloud VM setup. You can find more
information here on our documentation website
or our GitHub repo.
Intel Hosted Service: After August 2025, Intel’s hosted Intel® Geti™ service will be discontinued, including access to the free trial service.
Next Steps:
Data Retention: For cloud-hosted Intel Geti software
trial users: please note that after August 2025, you will no longer
have access to the trial. Training data, user information and models
from your organizations will not be stored or retained by Intel. It is
important that you download your data before the cloud-hosted trial is
retired. To preserve your data from geti.intel.com,
please find detailed steps to export your dataset and/or projects in this dedicated blog post, or in Intel Geti software documentation: project export
& dataset export.
Transition Planning:
We understand that this change may impact ongoing projects, and we are
committed to supporting you through this transition. We encourage you
to begin planning your migration ahead of the discontinuation date and
explore alternative deployment options. In case of questions, please
don’t hesitate to reach out to our Support team
or contact your Intel account representative for SLA-based support or Intel Premium Enabling Service.
Documentation:
Intel provides Intel Geti software documentation, code samples,
tutorials, and a robust SDK for ease of use. You can find more
information on our documentation website
or our GitHub repo.
Deployment Options:
Guidance for deploying Intel Geti software and its hardware
specifications for on-premises or cloud hosted deployments can be found
in the installation guide.
Get Involved: We welcome developers to join and contribute to the Open Edge Platform
and Intel Geti software (Edge Model Studio)!
Stay Tuned for Exciting Updates!
